Imagine Project Shares some Accomplishments

The Imagine Project is happy to share some of our accomplishments to date:
  • Imagine our Veterans having towels, blankets, pillows, cooking items, dishes and utensils when they move into their own apartment…  We have supplied move-in kits for 48 Veterans and 14 of their children moving out of homelessness in 17 communities.
  • Imagine no Veteran, nor their child, sleeping on the floor, an air mattress or futon.  We have provided 26 beds (4 for little heroes) when there was none.
  • Imagine having your own new shirt, pants, or shoes that fit…when everything you wear is donated.  We have given out over 1880 new pairs of pants, shirts, shoes and sneakers to hundreds of Veterans across the commonwealth.
  • Imagine having dinner with people that do not judge you, that accepted you where you are, regardless of what you may be going through…. We have hosted 84 family nights serving dinner to hundreds of Veterans throughout central MA

Imagine supports our 41st Veteran and his two Little Heroes!

Imagine is thrilled for Carl and his two children to be moving into their own home.  It’s been a long road, but they made it and are doing well.  A huge thank you to our supporters for helping us provide beds for our junior heroes, complete with special bedding just for them.  A move-in kit and grocery gift card are also on the way.  Much happiness to all of you, we are so grateful for your service!

Seven requests for support, including 4 children in last 2 weeks

Friends, we need your help.  We have seen requests for support for our Veterans moving out of homelessness increase incredibly the past several months.  In June, we are near doubling the total number of Veterans supported with moving in 2015.  We welcome any support you can provide towards a grocery gift card, move-in kit or bed for our Veterans.  Thank you

Imagine works with local furniture bank

The Imagine Project, Inc. is so happy to announce our work with Fresh Start furniture bank in Hudson. Fresh start helps restore hope, dignity, and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture and housewares to people in need. They accept donations of gently used household items and distribute them free of charge. Imagine now refers our Veterans to this wonderful, 100% volunteer based organization to help them get furniture and housewares when they move into their own home! Please consider this great organization when you have furniture and home items that you no longer need, we have seen first hand the tremendous value this brings to our Heroes! Something so small…goes such a long way, Imagine supports Brian with a cane

Brian was having a hard time due to challenges with his back. As we continue to learn, so many of our Veterans struggle with so many things that many of us take for granted. This was the case with Brian. He needed a cane to help support his walking due to his back, yet he did not have the funds to obtain one. (yes, unfortunately, this is reality for so many of our Heroes). As soon as we learned of Brian’s need, we had a cane delivered within the week. Once he received it, he finally had the confidence to walk outside after being in his house for over two weeks. We are so fortunate to help so many of our Veterans!

Imagine supports Vielka, our 2nd female Marine!

Imagine is so happy to support this amazing Marine family! Congratulations to Vielka and her three girls on moving into their own home! We were so happy to provide bedding for everyone with a family move-in kit for their new home!

Imagine helps our first Veteran in Norfolk county!

Word continues to spread about the great work we are doing to support our Veterans.  Today we received a request  to help Carlos with moving out of homelessness after 16 months! He just moved into his own place in Quincy and is so very happy!  Congratulations Carlos!
