Imagine is thrilled for Carl and his two children to be moving into their own home. It’s been a long road, but they made it and are doing well. A huge thank you to our supporters for helping us provide beds for our junior heroes, complete with special bedding just for them. A move-in kit and grocery gift card are also on the way. Much happiness to all of you, we are so grateful for your service!
Congratulations to Shelby as he moved into his own place this week. We’ve known Shelby for some time now and to see him finally get settled into his own apartment is so great! We are so grateful to support Shelby with sheets, blankets, cooking items, bath items and a gift card to get some groceries. He is so excited to finally buy some food for his new home. Congratulations Shelby and thank you to you and your father (a WWII Veteran) for your service!
Brian was having a hard time due to challenges with his back. As we continue to learn, so many of our Veterans struggle with so many things that many of us take for granted. This was the case with Brian. He needed a cane to help support his walking due to his back, yet he did not have the funds to obtain one. (yes, unfortunately, this is reality for so many of our Heroes). As soon as we learned of Brian’s need, we had a cane delivered within the week. Once he received it, he finally had the confidence to walk outside after being in his house for over two weeks. We are so fortunate to help so many of our Veterans!
Congratulations to Brian, an Army Veteran who moved into his own home in Worcester this month! We have sent a full move-in kit an grocery gift card to get him started in his new home! No more sleeping on the floor, he finally got his bed and we had were able to provide his pillow, sheets and blankets in his favorite color blue!
The Advanced Math & Science Academy girls middle school basketball team joined us Friday to host our 2nd February dinner. Our Heroes were served pizza, a beverage cart wheeled refreshments through the dining hall and made to order ice cream sundaes with homemade cookies topped off their dinner. A huge thank you to the team and coach Jenna for making this night special for our Heroes. “It’s so nice to see the kids here and spend some time with them,” Keith, a Veteran at dinner commented, “They are the reason I served my country, to try and make it better for them.”
The Imagine team was happy to support John with moving into his own home after many years. Thanks to the support from a generous donor who provided his move-in kit, John was delivered everything he needed to make his house a home. We also provided John a new bed which he very much enjoys. Congratulations John, we are delighted to support a Hero in our hometown!
Word continues to spread about the great work we are doing to support our Veterans. Today we received a request to help Carlos with moving out of homelessness after 16 months! He just moved into his own place in Quincy and is so very happy! Congratulations Carlos!
Congratulations to Brian and his son on their new place. Imagine had the great privilege of supporting him with a new home kit, pillows, blankets and everything needed for their new beds, their kitchen and bath!
