Imagine is thrilled for Carl and his two children to be moving into their own home. It’s been a long road, but they made it and are doing well. A huge thank you to our supporters for helping us provide beds for our junior heroes, complete with special bedding just for them. A move-in kit and grocery gift card are also on the way. Much happiness to all of you, we are so grateful for your service!
Congratulations to Shelby as he moved into his own place this week. We’ve known Shelby for some time now and to see him finally get settled into his own apartment is so great! We are so grateful to support Shelby with sheets, blankets, cooking items, bath items and a gift card to get some groceries. He is so excited to finally buy some food for his new home. Congratulations Shelby and thank you to you and your father (a WWII Veteran) for your service!
Friends, we need your help. We have seen requests for support for our Veterans moving out of homelessness increase incredibly the past several months. In June, we are near doubling the total number of Veterans supported with moving in 2015. We welcome any support you can provide towards a grocery gift card, move-in kit or bed for our Veterans. Thank you
“Thank you so much for everything! I have not had such an amazing bed in a really long time! It even has a pillow top! I feel like Goldilocks! Not too hard, its not too soft! Just right!” This was our Veteran’s thank you email to Imagine upon receiving her new bed, blankets and sheets. We are so fortunate to be able to continue providing new beds to so many Veterans throughout Massachusetts! With this move, our support has now grown to the MA North Shore!
Imagine was so fortunate to support Bill with his moving into his new home. Bill had been through more than anyone should ever go through in a lifetime. He had been living on the street for a few years, he had no place to lay his head at night, he was not sure what each day would bring. He finally met the right person to help. We were then contacted to help with a bed and everything needed to get started. Thanks to our incredible supporters, we had a bed delivered and sent a move-in kit and grocery gift card to help get him started. We are so very happy he now has his own pillow and bed to sleep warm and safely each night.
Brian was having a hard time due to challenges with his back. As we continue to learn, so many of our Veterans struggle with so many things that many of us take for granted. This was the case with Brian. He needed a cane to help support his walking due to his back, yet he did not have the funds to obtain one. (yes, unfortunately, this is reality for so many of our Heroes). As soon as we learned of Brian’s need, we had a cane delivered within the week. Once he received it, he finally had the confidence to walk outside after being in his house for over two weeks. We are so fortunate to help so many of our Veterans!
The Imagine Project is so grateful to the Student Council at Immaculate Conception School in Marlborough for their incredible support of our Veterans! We were so happy to meet with them and share stories of our work and how they can make a difference in the lives of our Veterans! The students at IC raised $385.00 from “Dress Down Days” where they raise money for a local charity by dressing out of uniforms on special days. The funds from the Student Council went directly to Vielka and her children who moved into their own home!
Imagine is so happy to support this amazing Marine family! Congratulations to Vielka and her three girls on moving into their own home! We were so happy to provide bedding for everyone with a family move-in kit for their new home!
The Imagine team was happy to support John with moving into his own home after many years. Thanks to the support from a generous donor who provided his move-in kit, John was delivered everything he needed to make his house a home. We also provided John a new bed which he very much enjoys. Congratulations John, we are delighted to support a Hero in our hometown!
We are excited to share that Wendy has moved into her own home after living in a shelter for over two years. One of supporters provided a move-in kit for her and she is now enjoying her own home!
